Description Starting with the Channel Island Cast-on, these mitts have a buttoned garter stitch cuff which forms a keyhole opening below the wrist. The One-Row Buttonhole is described for the cuff. A modified I-cord edge gives the opening a finished look. Traditional motifs, one documented in the town of Sheringham, are worked into the cuff and the hand, and the thumb is developed with a gusset. Both the thumb and the hand are finished off with garter stitch, bound off with the Channel Island Bind-off, first created by Michelle Hunter.
